The Science Of Mantras

Apr 07, 2021

Mantra! Is it a motivational quote?

Is it a personal watchword?

When you hear the word, what comes to your mind?

Many people don’t know what mantras mean. To some people, mantras are spooky words. To others, mantras are words we live by - somewhat of personal philosophy.

In this blog post, I will help you see that mantras are tools for controlling the mind. I’ll help you see the scientific nature of mantras and show you how you can change your life with mantras.

Before I show you that, let me quickly show you three basic principles of the mind:

What you think you become.

What you feel, you attract.

What you visualize, you create.

Knowing these principles, and knowing how to apply them will put you miles ahead of others who don’t. Knowing how to bend your mind to obey these principles will do you a lot of good.

Your mind can be your best friend or your worst enemy.

A tamed and controlled mind is your friend. A mind that you can’t control is a monkey mind.

The monkey mind is your worst enemy. It cannot keep focus on a particular thing. It keeps changing focus. Similarly, the monkey mind constantly desires to copy something else. It sees other people’s achievements as better than his.

Once you can’t control your mind, you become a slave to it. You have a monkey mind. You do whatever your mind wants you to do.

Mantras are tools to help you gain control over your mind.

Hence, to control the monkey mind, mantras were invented.
