This solar eclipse, which occurs from December 3 to December 4 (9:29 pm – 1:37 am Pacific Time) is only visible in Antarctica, South Africa, and Australia. However, the effects of the eclipse will be felt worldwide. 

The solar eclipse is happening on the New Moon in Sagittarius. New Moon is when the Sun (head) and Moon (heart) are occupying the same celestial space and, therefore, is an excellent time to set intentions and manifest it through gradual, methodical, and inspired actions.
This New Moon is in Sagittarius which is represented by a centaur (half man half horse) pointing an arrow into a dark sky which is a metaphor for setting a goal and galloping towards a future you cannot yet see. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion, growth, and broadening our mindset. In other words, Jupiter empowers us to discover and reclaim our true value, capacity, worth and true potential.

According to Vedic Astrology, this solar eclipse is in  Jyestha, the “chief star.” Jyestha awakens a desire for self-respect and freedom and invites us to make choices that honor our highest self.
